You are translators, so do you only offer translation services?
No, as we mention on our Services page, we also offer proofreading and editing services in Galician and Spanish; subtitling; transcription; localisation, transcreation and content writing.
Not sure if we offer the service you are looking for? Drop us a line.
Why do you only translate into your mother tongue?
We are both lucky enough to be bilingual in Spanish and Galician, so we understand that achieving this level of fluency in a language is no easy task. To ensure that your texts don’t lose quality and sound natural when translated into another language, we prefer to limit ourselves to translating into these two languages from our foreign working languages, i.e. we offer language services in the following combinations:
- English-Spanish translation
- French-Spanish translation
- Portuguese-Spanish translation
- Galician-Spanish translation
- English-Galician translation
- French-Galician translation
- Portuguese-Galician translation
- Spanish-Galician translation
How do I request a translation?
If you need to translate a file, you can contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
If you send us an email, it is more straightforward if you attach the file you want to translate and tell us when you need it translated, so that we can prepare the quotation and send it to you as soon as possible.
Once we receive your approval, we will get to work on the translation, proofreading or subtitling. Would you like to know more about our working method? Get in touch with us.
How do you determine a quotation?
Depending on the type of service you require and on the type of text, we can prepare the quotation in different ways. Normally, we apply the established rate according to the number of words you wish to translate or correct. However, if it is a service that cannot be quantified per word, we charge by the hour so, before the project is completed, we can only give you an estimate.
What is a peer review?
Peer review consists of one person translating a text and another revising it before delivery. To us, it is the most efficient working method, since taking the both of us part in the same project represents an added value of our services.
What does localisation mean?
Localisation is the translation, modification and adaptation of a product or service so that it can be marketed in a market other from the original one. This term is generally used to refer more accurately to website translation, app translation and video game translation, as it involves not only translating the content, but also adapting it to the cultural aspects of the target market and making the relevant modifications so that the product works perfectly in that new context.
What is transcreation?
Transcreation, also known as creative translation, is translating a message from one language into another by focusing more on the intent and effect than on the actual words. For example, advertising slogans would not be as effective if they were translated literally, don’t you think?
What is audiovisual translation?
Audiovisual translation or AVT is a field that encompasses several services that share one characteristic: as the name suggests, they are not only a written text, but use another type of format. We offer the following audiovisual services:
- Translation for dubbing
- Translation for voice-over
- Subtitling
- Subtitling for the deaf
- Audio-description
- Transcription

What kind of documents require a sworn translation?
A sworn translation is a translation carried out by a translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, whose stamp (as well as signature and certification) gives it the same legal validity as the original document.
The need for a sworn translation will always depend on the institution before which you have to present your documents (embassies, universities, public institutions…), so it is best to ask such body directly. Our clients usually require this service for:
- Translation of academic documents (degrees, transcripts, CVs, recommendation letters…)
- Translation of residence and nationality documents (residence certificates, census certificates, birth certificates…)
- Translation of family and inheritance documents (marriage certificates, divorce decrees, death certificates, wills…)
- Translation of employment documents (contracts, letters of reference, tax returns…)
- Translation of business documents (deeds of incorporation, certificates issued by the Commercial Register, articles of association…)
